A single row of vertical supports is installed along the wall, with horizontal and transverse members forming the working platform. 2. Double Scaffolding / Independent Scaffolding Double scaffolding uses two rows of supports and is therefore also called independent scaffolding. Compared with a single scaffold, the second row creates a more independent support structure and is traditionally used where the wall itself is not suitable for supporting scaffold members. 3. Trestle Scaffolding Trestle scaffolding is generally a smaller scaffold used for indoor or relatively low-height work.
